SUMMARY:TRAINING CLASS:  Practical Application - Handguns (B) [CPD Classroom/Range @ DPC]
DESCRIPTION:This new class\, introduced for 2026\, will replace my Pistol-Mounted Optics Practical Applications course.  \nThis is the "B" version class focusing on the practical application of your pistol\, regardless of the sighting system and it emphasizes both Strong\, and Weak-Hand Only use of your pistol while solving various problems. \nPractical Applications Handgun is focused on dealing with problems involving multiple targets/threats\, along with movement. When the range supports moving targets\, we will utilize them as well. After confirming your zero\, regardless of the sighting system\, we will get into the rest of the material - moving out of and into a variety of positions and situations. No-Shoots behind and in front of other targets will be layered in as the day progresses. As mentioned\, your chosen sighting system does not matter. The POI will change based on the students' goals and the facility. This class is not competition-centric\, but there are elements from that world. DESCRIPTION:On-Site Registration/Shooter Sign-In ends at 8:55AM\, Shooters Meeting: 9:15am\, Shoot: 9:30am.\n*All Non-Member: Shooters\, Guests\, or Visitors must also check in and sign an electronic waiver if not registered in PractiScore. \nUse PractiScore to preregister and squad on-Line \nDPC operates a COLD RANGE. *Guns may only be unboxed/cased and transferred to/from an approved holster for match use in one of the 2 designated and marked concrete SAFE AREAS or on a firing line under the direct supervision/control of an RSO. *Ammo may be handled anywhere on the range EXCEPT in the 2 marked/designated SAFE AREAS! Note: Vehicles are not considered a SAFE AREA! \nCost: $15.00 for Members + Discounts \ $30.00 Non-Members *Non-Members cost $25 + $5 daily range use fee that expires upon conclusion of the match. **Additional guns\, if permitted are $5.00/each for all shooters.
