The Club started life as the Trinity Rifle and Pistol Club in the early 1920's, and then became the Dallas Pistol and Revolver Club in 1941. The club changed locations several times until finally moving to its current location in Carrollton in 1976 and becoming the Dallas Pistol Club.
Matches are held almost every weekend and are open to the public. Members may bring guests, as long as they are supervised at all times. The outdoor ranges are available for use from Legal Sunrise to Sunset / the indoor air gun range is available 24-7 except when Team Shooting Stars is holding a practice or a match. A COLD RANGE is observed at DPC at ALL times.
Our facilities include:
- 36 firing point 25/50-yard precision range
- 12 firing point 100-yard silhouette range
- 5 13-yard action bays (#1~5) *Available for recreational shooting when no matches are in session
- 2 25-yard action bays (#6 & 7) *Available for recreational shooting when no matches are in session
- 10 firing point indoor air gun range
- 10 firing point outdoor, three position air gun range
- Limited access automatic gate
- Video Surveillance cameras 24-7/365
- 2 Designated "Safe Areas"
- Air-conditioned clubhouse with limited vending items available for purchase
- Air-conditioned indoor restroom facilities with hot and cold running water
- We are a COLD Range. *No loaded weapons except on a designated firing line unless done so as concealed carried.
Handguns using approved cartridges are allowed on all ranges EXCEPT AIR GUN RANGE (To view approved caliber list consult DPC Range Rules, link is below). .22 Rimfire rifles may be used on certain ranges (CENTERFIRE RIFLES OF ANY TYPE ARE PROHIBITED). *Shotguns may ONLY be used during approved matches, or during supervised law enforcement training. **Fully automatic weapons may be used during supervised law enforcement training only. ***Dangerous ammunition is not permitted.
